PAULA K. ILARI, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Paula was conceived in rape and is the mother of a son who was conceived when she was gang-raped. She travels the country speaking at pro-life events and before legislative bodies to proclaim the worth of every human being, regardless of the circumstances of his or her conception, and to create a more equitable culture for both mothers from rape and people conceived in rape. She frequently shares the story of her conversion from abortion facility volunteer to pro-life advocate.

Her previous pro-life non-profit experience includes serving as Community Outreach Director with Memphis Coalition for Life, and she brings a wealth of additional non-profit experience, including various roles with organizations, such as the Memphis-based race relations initiative Common Ground, the Episcopal Diocese of West Tennessee, and Point Hope Ghana. A former daily reporter, she has also served as a member of the Foster Care Review Board under the appointment of magistrates at Shelby County Juvenile Court.

She enjoys life in Memphis with her husband and two precious boys.
